Eilat

Eilat is located in the southern most point of Israel, along the northern

tip of the Red Sea at the foot of the granite mountains of the Negev desert.

The Kings City

The Timna Park

Timna Park is an area of 60sq.km/23sq.miles of facinating desert landscape.

You can drive or hike through bizarre rock formations such as the famous

Solomon's Pillars and the Mushroom Rock. You will also see ruins of Egyptian

copper workings from the 14th - 12th B.C.E as well as the remains of houses,

workshops, smelting ovens, food storage pits, the temple of Hathor and rock

engravings.

 

The Red Canyon

The Red Canyon is only a 20 minute drive northwest from Eilat. Here you can

enjoy a nice hike of 1.5 - 2 hours through the wind and water etched canyon

of red stained sandstone. This is truly a beautiful and fun filled activity.

Camel Rides

If you want to experience the desert, you must ride "the ship of the
