Manara Cliff Adventure Site

On the forested slopes of the upper Galilee Mountains, almost 900m (2950ft) above sea level, is the premier adventure facility of the region, offering an assortment of attractions for the whole family. You can ride a Cable Car 1900m (6250ft) to the summit and, on the way, enjoy a spectacular view of the Hula valley, the Golan Heights, Mount Hermon (snow-capped in winter!) and, down below, the city of Kiryat Shmona. From the top you’ll have a panoramic view of the whole area, including the border between Israel and Lebanon.

Zip Line – Slide along a 200 meter cable from the cliff down to the forest.

Rappelling – 42 meters down a sheer cliff.

Roller Coaster – Speed along a twisting track for 1000 meters down the mountain!

Kayaking

Starting on one of the tributaries and then continuing down the Jordan River itself, a Kayak trip is the ideal family adventure, as the calm water makes it suitable for all ages.  You will have a great time floating down this freshwater stream, surrounded by the lush foliage gracing its banks.

The cool, shallow water of the Jordan and abundant greenery of the surrounding area create the ideal setting for an easy, relaxing nature hike.  Perfect for a hot day!

From a leisurely stroll to a challenging trek, this is one of the best ways to enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area.  The hike can be tailored to any age, group size and level of ability.

 

Jeep tour

In the Hula Valley and along the western slopes of the Golan Heights you can take a jeep tour that features the natural beauty of the region.  You’ll cross through green fields and running streams, pass by former Syrian bunkers and quite likely will see wild animals such as boars, gazelles, deer, foxes, jackals and dozens of species of birds. This off-road ride gives you a unique opportunity to experience and appreciate the diverse ecosystem of this area.

In the city of Metula, which is the most northern point of Israel, is located ‘Mercaz Canada,’ a sports center serving the entire region. Available activities include: ice skating, bowling, billiards, shooting range, and swimming.
